Seen here on a warm August 24, 1974 is westbound MKT train #102 at Tebbets, MO. Bound for Sedalia, and ultimately Parsons, and Dallas, the freight is being led by Katy GP40 #197, fresh in her "new" green and yellow paint, followed by sister GP40 #198, which was still in the old red and white color scheme. Today, the tracks are gone, and in its place is the Katy Trail. As a result, you can still enjoy this beautiful Missouri scenery today, although the best part won't be there! Rick Morgan photo.
